Modular InfoTech Pvt. Ltd. is a private limited company, established in 1983 by a group of engineers having a strong R & D background. Modular Infotech is located in Pune, which is about 2 hours journey by highway from Mumbai (Bombay). The well known TVS Group with US $ 2 billion turnover is strategic partner in Modular Infotech through TVS-E Limited.
Modular Infotech in its early days developed test equipment for an Indian Defense Establishment, doing import substitution. Modular made pioneering efforts in developing a totally indigenous microprocessor based CRT phototypesetter. Modular Infotech made a niche for itself in the DTP market by developing software packages for the DTP segment. Modular Infotech has pioneered in developing the largest library of Indic fonts in the world, of over 2700 Fonts for the 10 Indian Languages and also Arabic, Sindhi, Russian and Sinhala. Modular Infotech has expertise in developing the fonts in Open Type Font Technology.
Modular Infotech has three software products with a combined user base of over 200,000 users all over India and abroad.

We are supplier of modular products, Office Suit, Developer's Tools, Web Products, POS software, Shree-Lipi on Linux. Modular products : Shree-Lipi 6 : Shree-Lipi 6.0 contains various packages. Pearl, Gem, Gold and Sapphire are multilingual packages. There are also language special packages, which give more stress on a particular script, while still supporting the other scripts. These multilingual packages are: Dev Ratna for Hindi and Marathi, Gurjari for Gujarati, Gurumukhi for Punjabi, Banga Ratna cfor Bengali, Ashamiya Manik for Assamese, Utkal for Oriya, Tamil Vairam for Tamil, Kannada Ratna for Kannada, Telugu Ratna for Telugu, Kairali for Malayalam and DG for Devnagri and Gujarati. Office Suit : Ankur, Ankur Office, Vividha. Ankur : Some features of Ankur are Patrika, Smaranika(Personal dairy and appointments), Script Processor, Database Manager, Label Maker, Keyboard Tutor, Keyboard Generator, Wallpapers. Ankur office : Ankur Office is a Complete Multilingual Office Suite with user interface in all Indian languages. User Interface Screens, Menus, Messages, Hints, Helps etc. Are in all local language as well as in English. In addition to Marathi or English, user can select languages like Assamese, Bengali, Gujrati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu & English as User Interface language along with English. Vividha : Vividha is a windows based package having a Word Processor, Indian fonts and a lot of Cliparts. When it comes to a multilingual word processor suitable for a variety of word processing requirements and also saving cost Vividha is the proper answer. Developer's Tools : Shree Samhita : Shree-Lipi Samhita can be integrated with applications developed in VC++, Visual Basic, Visual Foxpro, Borland Delphi, Power Builder etc. Shree-Lipi Samhita supports API calls to seamlessly integrate Indian languages with your applications. These calls enable typing Indian languages in any Windows based applications, sorting data on Indian language strings, transliterating names from English to Indian languages and vice-versa etc. Thus, developers can very easily develop applications to give good Indian language interface to the users who are more comfortable with their mother tongue than English. Web Products : Web Samhita, Dynamic Fonts POS software : Smart Bazaar. Shree-Lipi on Linux : Shree-Lipi Linux. We also provide service such as localization and data conversion. Modular InfoTech Provides Localization for Software Products, Computer-Based Training (CBT) and tutorials, Interactive multimedia products, Entertainment and educational products, Product support Web sites, and User guides & reference manuals. Document scanning (Digital Publishing) and e-Book Publishing(data conversion) : Modular Infotech is working in document scanning and e-Book publishing in which books in the form of hardcopy are scanned and refined and converted into PDF format. This process also includes the processing of images in Photoshop. In digital publishing a page is scanned and then processed. In this skewing is removed and touch up to some extend is done using photo shop in tif format. If a page contains image then it is scanned to different resolution. The required changes are made to the image to make it clear. This .Tif and image files is merged and one .PDF file is generated which is a print on demand file.
